Kitten/Cat Adoption Event at Living Ruff

If you are interested in potentially adopting a kitten or cat, stop by Living Ruff on Georgia Avenue between noon and 2 p.m. to meet several friendly kittens and cats and League volunteers. Come by, you may meet your future favorite feline friend!

Pasta for Pets

Come to our annual spaghetti dinner and game night to benefit the Love Fund! Tickets are $20 each ($70 for a four-pack) and be will available for purchase at the door or online here. Space is limited; please arrive early. Bring your big appetite and game face! This event is sponsored by our friends at Alexandria Animal Hospital.

Kix

Breed: Shepherd mix

Kix is a lovely 10-year-old Shepherd mix. See a video of Kix doing agility here! She is a very sweet girl. She was rescued from a puppy mill raid in Lamar, Arkansas in October, but holds no grudges about her past. She loves to learn new tricks and is very friendly! Cucumber

Breed: Pekingese mix
Canine-ality^tm: Go-Getter
Age: Adult Size: Small

Cucumber is a very sweet, cuddly 10-year-old Pekingese mix who came to the League from a puppy mill raid in Arkansas. You can see a video of her on Fox5 News here! She would get along great with children, and loves every person she meets. She would be great as a therapy dog. Though she will require medication because she has a heart condition, she is a wonderful, happy girl and needs a loving home! Cucumber recently started agility training with our training staff and LOVES it!

Fundi

Breed: Shih Tzu
Age: Senior Size: Small

Fundi is a 15-year-old grey and white Shih Tzu. He came to the League from a puppy mill raid in Arkansas, so he will need some time to adjust to a loving home environment. Toliver

Breed: Terrier mix

Age: Young Size: Small

Toliver is a 6-month-old cream colored Terrier mix. He came to the League from a shelter in Tennessee so he could have a better chance at finding a home. He is an intelligent, active boy who loves to play.

Ikea

Breed: Black DSH
Feline-ality^tm: Sidekick
Age: Young Size: Medium

Ikea is a sweet round-faced girl who can be a little shy at times, but is very affectionate and loves to play with other cats when the mood strikes her. She plays with a variety of toys...strings, fuzzy mice, and jingle balls being particular favorites. While she sometimes hides under the bed, she also has favorite sleeping spots, and when she's awake, she'll search you out and walk all around you asking for attention and love. And when you pet her at these times, she is so excited, her tail shakes...it's truly the cutest thing! She'll walk back and forth over you making happy feet as she finds a spot to settle in, usually to your side...but you know she's found the perfect spot!
