How You Can Help
The Washington Animal Rescue League is supported entirely through contributions of money, time, and in-kind gifts from the public. It does not receive any support from local, state, or federal governments.
This Web site contains information on many opportunities for helping the League and the animals in its care. Online donations can be made easily and securely through our donation page.
Those interested may also find information on planned giving (bequests and charitable gift annuities) and other ways to contribute (through monthly giving plans, workplace giving, donations of stock, memorial and honorary gifts, etc.). Fact sheets on stock gifts and major and planned gifts are available also.
Plaques for our Honorary/Memorial Wall are available for donations of $1,000 or more. Pavers set into the sidewalk in front of the shelter are available for donations of $2,500 or more. Other donor recognition opportunities are available for businesses and individuals.
Those wishing to join the hundreds of people who contribute their time and talents to the League and its animals can find information of the volunteer and foster care program, as well as applications to become a volunteer, on the volunteer page.
